Seven. One Entertainment Group reduces emissions, aims for climate-neutral operations

Seven. One Entertainment Group GmbH is making significant strides towards its goal of achieving operational climate neutrality by 2030. The company announced it exceeded its 2022 emissions reduction target by 18 percent, largely due to increased use of green electricity.

The company has substantially boosted its green electricity consumption, now sourcing over 90 percent of its total electricity use from renewable sources. Furthermore, Seven. One Entertainment Group has strongly committed to electrifying its vehicle fleet. As of May 2023, the company mandatorily allows only the ordering of fully electric vehicles across the group, a decisive step for a media company in Europe.

To manage emissions from productions, the company has launched the "Sauber gedreht!" (Clean Shoot!) initiative. This program mandates the use of green electricity and environmentally friendly logistics at production sites. Measures include reducing travel and waste, and eliminating single-use items.

Seven. One Entertainment Group offers advertisers and agencies transparent accounting of the carbon footprint for their TV and digital advertising campaigns. This addresses the growing demand for sustainable media solutions and helps clients reduce the environmental impact of their campaigns.
