SGL Group to acquire logistics provider OIA Global
SGL Group has signed an agreement to purchase Portland-based OIA Global. The acquisition marks the company's largest investment to date and moves it into the top 20 global freight forwarders.

Logistics firm SGL Group has announced the acquisition of OIA Global, an Oregon-based provider of supply chain and logistics services. The transaction, executed through SGL’s subsidiaries US Skill Bidco Inc. and SGL Australia Pty Ltd, represents the most significant investment in the company’s history.
Founded in 1988, OIA Global operates in over 30 countries with a workforce of more than 1,200 employees across 60 offices. The company provides end-to-end logistics solutions, which SGL intends to integrate into its existing global operations.
By absorbing OIA Global, SGL Group expects to reach a scale that ranks it among the world's 20 largest freight forwarding companies. The move is part of an ongoing trend of consolidation within the international shipping and supply chain management sector.
