Shadowfax Reports Q2 Profit of ₹68 Crore as Revenue Exceeds ₹1,500 Crore

Shadowfax reported a net profit of ₹68 crore for the quarter ending in September, marking a significant increase from the ₹13 crore recorded during the same period last year. The company’s operating revenue reached a record ₹1,537.7 crore, representing a 57% year-on-year growth.

The logistics firm attributed these results to robust activity in its express parcel and hyperlocal delivery segments, which processed a combined 27.1 crore orders. The express parcel division accounted for the majority of volume at 21.7 crore orders, while the hyperlocal segment saw an 87.7% revenue jump year-on-year.

Despite rising demand, the company faced a 53% increase in total expenses, which totaled ₹1,490.2 crore. To manage operational efficiency, Shadowfax has implemented an internal AI-driven system to optimize routes across its national network of 5,500 touchpoints.

Looking forward, CEO Abhishek Bansal indicated that the company aims to sustain its growth trajectory through its new self-serve shipping platform, Shadowfax 360, and the development of micro-fulfilment centers designed to shorten delivery times for D2C brands.
