Shadowfax reports Q2 revenue of Rs 1,538 crore amid rising profits

Shadowfax recorded operating revenue of Rs 1,537.7 crore for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, marking a 57% increase from Rs 982.1 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's net profit saw a fivefold increase, reaching Rs 68 crore compared to Rs 13 crore a year prior.

The firm's performance was bolstered by its hyperlocal logistics segment, which grew 88% and now contributes roughly 22% of total revenue. Express parcel delivery remains the company's primary revenue stream, accounting for 71% of total income. Throughout the July-September quarter, Shadowfax processed 271 million total orders.

Despite the significant revenue growth, operating expenses rose by 54% to Rs 1,490.2 crore, attributed largely to increased employee benefit costs and general operational expenses. The company noted that its expansion into hyperlocal services is outpacing the broader quick commerce industry.

Since its public listing in early 2027, Shadowfax has faced intense competition from logistics rivals such as Delhivery, XpressBees, and Ecom Express. To maintain its market position, the company is investing in micro-fulfillment centers and in-house AI systems to optimize fleet management across its national network.
