"Shadows: Zero" Releases New Trailer Showing New Boss and Digital Deluxe Edition Appearance

A new gameplay trailer for "Shadows: Zero" (影之刃零) has been released, featuring the protagonist's combat against a new boss for the first time and fully revealing the "Mechanical Demon Body" (机械魔躯) appearance exclusive to the digital deluxe edition. The game is set to officially launch on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms on October 29.
The boss featured in the trailer, "The Hunt," is known for its high-speed attacks and mobility. In the game, players assume the role of a swordsman whose heart has been severely damaged. With only 66 days left to live, the player must flee and crush a conspiracy that looms over the martial arts world.
The "Mechanical Demon Body" appearance combines martial arts aesthetics with steampunk mechanical design, featuring red glowing eyes. This outfit is exclusively available for owners of the digital deluxe edition. The game is developed by China-based Spirit Realm Games and published in close collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment, with the PS5 version receiving at least one year of console exclusivity.
Pre-release reviews for the title have also gone live. IGN described the game as one of the coolest action games of 2026 and compared its parry mechanics to "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice." It has also been noted that the game contains more RPG elements than anticipated.
