The Mayor of Shanghai's International Business Leaders' Advisory Council (IBLAC) will meet on October 10-11 to explore service sector innovation and new cooperation opportunities.

The Mayor of Shanghai's International Business Leaders' Advisory Council (IBLAC) is holding its 38th meeting in Shanghai on October 10 and 11. The gathering will bring together business leaders from China and abroad to discuss innovation in the service sector and explore new avenues for cooperation.
Following last year's session, more than 20 member companies identified new investment projects, signaling a growing interest in the Chinese market and support for Chinese enterprises' global expansion. The council aims to facilitate the internationalization of Chinese companies by leveraging the global experience and networks of its members.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a prominent topic, with IBLAC members suggesting AI-powered energy systems, healthcare enhancements, and sustainable marine fuel systems. This year's meeting will also include a visit to Fuxing Island to observe AI applications in real-world settings.
IBLAC has evolved into a platform for mutual exchange and the development of globally relevant solutions. Companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim and Vale China are planning to strengthen their Shanghai presence with new R&D centers and collaborations, supporting the city's role in technological advancement and the green transition.
