Shanghai Electric Participates in Record Biomethanol Bunkering Operation

Shanghai Electric participated in a landmark maritime event on August 17, involving the largest single biomethanol bunkering operation to date. The company collaborated with Shanghai International Port Group and CMA CGM Group.

The operation saw a total of 8,000 metric tons of biomethanol supplied, marking a significant milestone in the decarbonization efforts of maritime transport. The initiative aims to reduce emissions from shipping and promote cleaner fuel alternatives.
