Shanling CD50 Desktop CD Player Launched
Shanling has released its CD50 desktop CD player, featuring a CS43198 DAC and dual SGM8262 operational amplifiers, priced at 1498 yuan.
Audio manufacturer Shanling has officially launched its CD50 desktop CD player, a device that integrates CD playback with digital-to-analog conversion. The unit is now available for purchase at a price of 1498 yuan (approximately $207 USD).
The CD50 utilizes a traditional drawer-type CD mechanism, employing the Sanion HD850 high-performance laser head and a dedicated CD servo system for stable disc reading. The device is equipped with a Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC, paired with dual SGM8262-2 operational amplifiers and tuned with Ruby capacitors to form a complete decoding, amplification, and tuning chain.
The unit measures 188×205×53mm and features an aluminum alloy body with a glass panel, offered in black and silver finishes. It includes a 2.2-inch color display on the front with a 120×420 resolution, supporting various retro UI themes. Operation can be managed through physical buttons or the included remote control.
Connectivity options comprise RCA analog outputs, optical and coaxial digital outputs, and headphone outputs: a 3.5mm single-ended and a 4.4mm balanced. The 3.5mm output provides 210mW @ 32Ω, while the 4.4mm balanced output delivers 830mW @ 32Ω, capable of driving most headphones.
