Chinese technology company Shanling has released a new "Mist Teal Purple" color variant for its EC Play portable CD player. The new color is now available for purchase through online retailers.
The device is equipped with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs and utilizes a CS43198 DAC chip for audio playback. It also supports Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, allowing for wireless pairing with headphones and speakers.
The EC Play features a custom tray-loading mechanism with an active magnetic stabilizer to enhance stability and reduce mechanical vibration compared to traditional designs. It employs a professional CD-drive solution with a customized servo system for reliable disc reading.
The Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chip offers a distortion level of -115dB and a dynamic range of 130dB. The player's output power reaches 700mW at 32 ohms. Its USB DAC function supports hard decoding of PCM 384kHz/32Bit and DSD256. A 3450mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of playback time.
