Shenguang Releases AF 35mm F2.2 Lens for Fujifilm X Mount
Shenguang has announced the addition of a Fujifilm X mount version to its AF 35mm F2.2 camera lens. The lens, designed for full-frame cameras, will also be compatible with Fujifilm's APS-C camera bodies.

Chinese optics company Shenguang has expanded its lens offerings with the introduction of a Fujifilm X mount for its AF 35mm F2.2 camera lens. This marks the latest camera system compatibility for the lens, which was previously available for E, Z, and L mounts.
The new Fujifilm X mount version will go on sale on September 7th at 10:00 AM local time in China. The lens is priced at 699 yuan (approximately $96 USD) for the black model and 739 yuan (approximately $102 USD) for the silver model.
The AF 35mm F2.2 lens is constructed with a full-metal body, measuring 36mm in height and weighing around 163 grams. Optically, it features a 7-element, 5-group design with a 9-blade aperture. The lens supports autofocus functionality and has a minimum focusing distance of 0.35 meters. When used on Fujifilm's APS-C sensor cameras, it provides an equivalent focal length of 52.5mm.
This release caters to the growing Fujifilm X-mount user base, offering them a new, relatively affordable prime lens option. Shenguang's strategy of releasing lenses for multiple camera systems suggests a push to capture a wider market share in the interchangeable lens camera sector.
