Shokz OpenDots 2 open-ear sport headphones add "Falling Cherry Blossom" color
Shokz has introduced a new "Falling Cherry Blossom" color option for its OpenDots 2 open-ear sport headphones. The new color will be available starting August 12 at an introductory price.
Shokz (formerly AfterShokz) is expanding its OpenDots 2 open-ear sport headphone line with the addition of a "Falling Cherry Blossom" (luò yīng fěn) color. The new color option is scheduled to go on sale on August 12 at 10 AM local time. The headphones will be available at an introductory price of 1168.2 yuan (approximately $160 USD), down from the standard retail price of 1598 yuan.
The OpenDots 2 feature an open-ear design and are equipped with 11.8mm dynamic drivers. The manufacturer claims a 70% improvement in distortion compared to the previous generation and enhanced Dolby Audio support. The headphones also incorporate AI-powered noise cancellation technology for calls.
Battery life for the earbuds is rated at 10 hours on a single charge, with the charging case extending the total playback time to 40 hours. The OpenDots 2 also support wireless charging. The design includes an asymmetrical curved frame.
Shokz has historically focused on bone conduction technology. The OpenDots series marks the company's expansion into the market for traditional, albeit open-ear, headphone designs. The introduction of new color options aims to appeal to a broader consumer base looking for style alongside performance.
