ShorePoint acquires portfolio of federal contracts from Coalfire Federal

ShorePoint, a Herndon, Virginia-based cybersecurity firm, has announced the acquisition of a portfolio of federal contracts from Coalfire Federal. The transaction includes the transition of the professional staff supporting these contracts to ShorePoint, aimed at strengthening the company’s engineering and automation capabilities.

This expansion allows ShorePoint to broaden its reach across federal civilian, defense, and state-level agencies. The company specializes in securing high-performance computing environments and preparing federal entities for emerging challenges such as post-quantum cryptography. According to CEO Matt Brown, the acquisition is intended to bolster the firm’s operational speed in responding to AI-informed cyber threats.

Coalfire Federal will continue to operate as an independent entity following the transaction. Financial advisory services for the deal were provided by TideLock Partners.
