SICO secures 1.6 billion dollars in new client mandates

Bahrain-based investment firm SICO announced the acquisition of 1.6 billion dollars in new mandates during the Gateway Gulf 2026 forum in Manama. The new business covers the firm's asset management, private banking, and investment banking divisions.

The majority of these funds, approximately 1.4 billion dollars, are designated for SICO-managed public and private funds and portfolios. The remaining 200 million dollars involves transactions and mandates across both public and private markets, as well as alternative investment vehicles.

SICO Group CEO Najla Al Shirawi stated that the mandates reflect institutional and private investor confidence in the firm’s regional capabilities. The company maintains a direct presence in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Looking ahead, the company plans to focus on expanding its investment capacity and addressing client requirements in a shifting market environment. The firm credits regional forums like Gateway Gulf for facilitating connections between international investors and the local financial ecosystem.
