At the Gateway Gulf 2026 forum in Manama, regional asset manager and investment bank SICO reported that it has been awarded approximately $1.6 billion in new business over the course of 2026. The mandates span the company's core divisions of asset management, wealth management, and investment banking.

The capital influx is primarily directed toward public market portfolios, with $1.4 billion invested in funds managed by SICO. The remaining $200 million includes various transaction mandates and alternative investment products. While public markets remain a primary focus, the company continues to diversify into private market holdings.

SICO Group CEO Najla Al Shirawi stated that the new mandates reflect client confidence in the firm’s ability to navigate current market dynamics. Looking ahead, the company intends to prioritize client-centric solutions and disciplined investment execution to sustain growth within the Gulf region’s financial ecosystem.
