Sidel introduces new EvoDECO® Next roll-fed labeling solution

Sidel has introduced EvoDECO® Next, its next-generation roll-fed labeling solution, which combines high-performance production with greater decoration freedom and significantly reduced material consumption for beverage bottles.

The new system enables the application of partial labels on a roll-fed platform. This offers beverage producers the opportunity to use less labeling material while leaving more of the bottle visible, aiming for a premium and differentiated brand image without compromising the robustness required for industrial production.

"EvoDECO Next redefines the possibilities of roll-fed labeling," said Anne Philippe Lafon, Product Manager Labelling at Sidel. "Producers no longer have to choose between industrial efficiency, material reduction, and impactful decoration. By enabling partial labels on a simplified roll-fed architecture, we help our customers reduce their material usage, create new opportunities for their brands, and maintain the performance levels required by their production lines."

According to Sidel, partial labeling can reduce the label surface area by up to 75% compared to a traditional full-wrap label, depending on the chosen design. For high-volume producers, this can lead to substantial savings. Sidel estimates that switching from a full-wrap label to a 90-degree partial label can reduce BOPP material consumption by over 200 tons annually and generate approximately €723,000 in annual raw material cost savings. The solution also supports Sidel's broader JUST label proposition, combining sustainability, branding, lower total cost of ownership, and simpler technology.
