Paris – Fintech company Sidetrade today unveiled Aimie, an AI agent designed to autonomously manage Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. The company states this represents a move beyond automation into autonomous decision-making within enterprise finance, utilizing Sidetrade's Data Lake.

The Aimie agent can perform outbound calls, including initial contact and follow-ups, interact with debtor clients, and flag necessary escalations for human intervention. Sidetrade claims the agent has been trained on $7.2 trillion in payment experiences and insights from 40 million buyers globally.

Rob Harvey, Sidetrade's Chief Product Officer, explained that Aimie makes decisions rather than just following scripts, aiming to accelerate cash flow and reduce operational overhead. This agentic AI approach is intended to enhance financial performance and scalability.

OpenText, a technology company, is an early adopter. Stephen Dyer, VP of Credit & Collections at OpenText, highlighted Aimie's consistency as a key benefit for managing a large global team of collectors. The agent can reportedly make up to 1,000 outbound calls daily in 29 languages, operating 24/5, freeing up finance teams for more strategic tasks.
