SIEB & MEYER offers SISTEMA libraries for download
SIEB & MEYER AG has released SISTEMA libraries for download, simplifying the risk assessment process for machine builders utilizing its SD2x product family's safety functions.

SIEB & MEYER AG is now offering downloadable SISTEMA libraries directly from its website. These libraries are intended for machine manufacturers who utilize the safety-related functions of SIEB & MEYER's SD2x product family, including the Safe Torque Off (STO) function.
The SISTEMA software, provided by the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA), assists machine builders in modeling and assessing safety-related control parts (SRP/CS) according to the DIN EN ISO 13849-1 standard. This new offering simplifies the risk assessment process for machine controls.
"Based on SISTEMA, the machine manufacturer can model and assess safety-related control parts (SRP/CS) from subsystems, blocks, and elements," stated Torsten Blankenburg, Chief Technology Officer at SIEB & MEYER AG. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of machine operators.
Frequency converters and servo amplifiers in SIEB & MEYER's SD2, SD2S, SD2M, SD2Bplus, and SD3 series feature the integrated STO safety function. Additionally, SIEB & MEYER provides users of the SD2 system with two optional encoder-less functions: SFM (Safe Frequency Monitor) and SLOF (Safe Limited Output Frequency), designed for rotating motors without speed sensors.
