Siemens has announced that Sahajanand Medical Technologies Ltd (SMT) has deployed Teamcenter® software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to enhance its medical device development operations. The deployment aims to support the company's digital transformation initiatives.
The implementation establishes a digital thread connecting product development, quality, and regulatory processes. This integration is intended to help SMT improve collaboration, accelerate new product development, and ensure compliance with medical device standards, including US FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485.
SMT is utilizing Teamcenter for various functions such as collaboration, classification, program planning, schedule management, design history files, device master records, change management, and test and verification processes. The goal is to create a unified environment for its R&D and quality teams.
The implementation project was carried out by Siemens partner ThinkInnov Solutions. This move supports SMT's global expansion and its efforts to bring cardiovascular technologies to healthcare markets more efficiently.
