Siemens Mobility and Technis Partner for French Rail Maintenance Network
Siemens Mobility is expanding its service network for Vectron locomotives in France through a partnership with Technis. The agreement ensures local maintenance capabilities for the French market.

Munich/Paris – Siemens Mobility and French rail services company Technis have signed a partnership agreement to establish local maintenance capabilities for future Vectron locomotive operations in France.
Under the deal, Siemens Mobility will utilize Technis' network of eleven maintenance sites across France to provide service access once Vectron locomotives begin operating in the country. The collaboration combines Siemens Mobility's expertise in the Vectron platform, digital maintenance tools, and European service network with Technis' established French industrial footprint and approximately 500 specialized employees.
Technis' maintenance sites are strategically located along key freight and passenger routes, including Lens, Dijon, and Thionville. These locations will support a scalable maintenance model for future Vectron fleets in France. Siemens Mobility will also enhance future French operations through predictive maintenance tools, diagnostics, and a centralized spare-parts logistics system, including its MoBase digital spare-parts platform.
Siemens Mobility stated that the partnership aims to reduce downtime, improve fleet availability, and support reliable rail operations in France. This collaboration strengthens Siemens Mobility's position in the French rail market and supports the continued development of the Vectron locomotive platform across Europe. Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG, providing intelligent transport solutions.
