Sierra Madre Initiates Drilling at La Tigra Gold-Silver Project in Mexico
Sierra Madre Gold and Silver Ltd. has commenced its maiden drilling program at the La Tigra gold-silver project in Nayarit, Mexico. The project encompasses seven mining concessions covering the historical El Tigre mining district.

Sierra Madre Gold and Silver Ltd. has begun its first drilling program at the La Tigra gold-silver project located in Nayarit, Mexico. The project comprises seven mining concessions totaling 357 hectares, encompassing the historical high-grade El Tigre mines.
According to the Mexican Geological Service (Servicio Geológico Mexicano), historical material extracted from the La Tigra mine between 1983 and 1991 averaged 10 g/t gold and 358 g/t silver. This marks the first-ever drill program conducted within the district.
The drilling efforts will primarily target areas defined by an ongoing trenching program. Previous trenching results have indicated significant mineralization, including a reported 12.8 meters grading 1.45 g/t gold and 9 g/t silver in the El Cacolote section.
A core drill rig has been mobilized to the project site, transferred from the company's Tepic project. Sierra Madre plans to shuttle the drilling equipment between its Tepic and La Tigra projects to ensure assay results are available before commencing offset or step-out drilling. Mexican environmental authorities have authorized 30 drill pads for the La Tigra project.
