Sierra Madre Repays Half of First Majestic Loan

Sierra Madre Gold and Silver Ltd. announced on March 24, 2026, that it has repaid US$2.5 million of a US$5 million loan from First Majestic Silver Corp. The repayment is ahead of schedule and represents half of the total loan amount. The company attributes the accelerated repayment to strong silver and gold prices, which have boosted cash generation from its La Guitarra mine.

President and CEO Alex Langer stated that the early repayment of half the facility is driven by the favorable commodity prices, leading to increased cash flow from La Guitarra. The company anticipates repaying the remaining balance in the near future. Langer also noted that the first stage of the La Guitarra production expansion is expected to begin operations by the end of the second quarter of 2026, aiming to increase throughput by at least 50% from the current 500 tonnes per day rate.

Sierra Madre is scheduled to report its fourth quarter and full-year 2025 financial and operating results in mid-April 2026. The company's operations include the La Guitarra mine in Mexico and the Tepic property. Its management team has a track record in developing precious metal resources.
