Sifted Lists European Startups Tripling Revenue Annually

Sifted has identified a cohort of European startups achieving exceptional revenue growth, with several tripling their income annually. These companies, often with fewer than 50 employees, represent significant potential within the technology sector.

More than half of the analyzed firms are new entrants to the Sifted 250 list, which tracks the region's most promising growth companies. Notably, several fast-growing businesses have emerged from Central and Eastern Europe. For instance, Sun.store, a solar marketplace based in Warsaw founded in 2023, generated €17.6 million in revenue two years after launching, a 68-fold increase from its first year, with an average of 27 employees.

At the top of the list is German SaaS company Clevver, which reported €61 million in revenue last year, an increase of 168 percent. The company has grown steadily since 2021. Investor interest in these high-growth companies is strong, attracting significant capital investments.

Other successful companies highlighted in the report include UK-based Flatpay, whose fintech solutions have seen substantial growth, ranking 12th on the Sifted 250 list. French company Luma, offering AI-driven healthcare solutions, experienced a 60-fold growth in under two years. Austrian firm Bending Spoons has also demonstrated robust expansion.

The analysis underscores that many of these companies operate in sectors with high demand and the potential to leverage emerging technologies. Despite being young, most of the listed firms have already proven their ability to scale rapidly and achieve significant financial success in the European market.
