SIGGRAPH 2026 Returns to Los Angeles Highlighting Graphics Community

SIGGRAPH 2026, the global convocation for computer graphics and interactive techniques, is set to convene at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Sunday, July 19, through Thursday, July 23, 2026. This marks the conference's return to Los Angeles for the first time since 2023, leveraging the city's prominence as a hub for film, gaming, and immersive media. The event will gather thousands of innovators, researchers, and industry leaders worldwide to explore the latest advancements and future directions in computer graphics. The conference will particularly spotlight the creative and technical contributions of the Southern California computer graphics community, a region significant for its employment in the creative industries. Local talent from major entities such as Lightstorm Entertainment, Paramount Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Netflix, Magnopus, Electronic Arts, and Activision will feature prominently. Academic institutions, including the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of Southern California (USC), are also set to contribute through research and educational presentations. SIGGRAPH 2026 continues its mission to foster communities that invent, educate, inspire, and redefine the landscape of computer graphics. The program includes "Production Sessions" offering behind-the-scenes looks at major film and game projects, alongside "Spatial Storytelling" presentations exploring new narrative forms. Examples include sessions on Wētā FX's Avatar project and the use of generative AI for the "The Wizard of Oz" installation at the Sphere.
