Siili Solutions develops AI that simulates empathy
Siili Solutions introduces a new toolkit, the AI Agent Design Canvas, to help companies design more human-centered AI agents. The goal is to create deeper and more trustworthy interactions between humans and machines.

Helsinki โ Siili Solutions, a digital services expert, has launched a new design tool, the AI Agent Design Canvas, aimed at helping companies create "empathic machines" โ AI agents capable of simulating human empathy.
Traditionally human-centered design is being challenged by generative AI (GenAI). New systems no longer just react to prompts; they are becoming proactive participants in interactions. Siili suggests this shift necessitates companies deeply considering how AI agent personalities and behaviors are designed.
"If we believe that interactions within companies will become agentic, both internally and externally, then companies need to start designing these things with deep thought," stated Petri Lattu from Siili. Companies ignoring this evolution risk becoming irrelevant as future efficiency hinges on AI collaboration.
Simulating empathy in machines allows for the creation of more personal user experiences, reducing the emotional distance between humans and technology. According to Siili, intentionality is key in designing empathy; it doesn't emerge accidentally but must be crafted through thoughtful design and quality data. In the future, AI will be not just a tool but a partner, capable of representing a company's values and deepening customer relationships.
