Silicon Labs has unveiled the BG2B, its new low-power Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) System-on-Chip (SoC), designed to improve power efficiency and reduce system costs for IoT devices.

Austin, Texas – Silicon Labs has launched the BG2B, a new low-power Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) System-on-Chip (SoC) engineered to enhance power efficiency and lower system costs for Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The BG2B integrates Channel Sounding technology for improved Bluetooth network positioning, along with Silicon Labs' Secure Vault™ security features for enhanced protection against threats like malware and phishing. The chip also includes integrated CAN-FD (Controller Area Network with Flexible Data-Rate) and other peripherals, enabling the development of versatile and high-performance IoT solutions.
According to the company, the new SoC is particularly suited for applications where power consumption and battery life are critical, such as wearables, healthcare sensors, and industrial automation. Its compact size and low energy footprint allow for the creation of smaller and longer-lasting devices.
