SiMa.ai Raises $150 Million at $1.45 Billion Valuation

AI chip and software developer SiMa.ai announced on September 28, 2026, that it has raised $150 million in Series C funding, achieving a post-money valuation of $1.45 billion. The funding round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with participation from existing investors Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and StepStone Group.

Founded in 2018 by Krishna Rangasayee, the company focuses on creating energy-efficient chips and software that enable artificial intelligence to run directly on devices like robots, drones, and cameras. This approach, known as edge AI, reduces the need for data to be sent to the cloud, offering lower latency and potentially lower costs compared to traditional cloud-based AI processing.

SiMa.ai aims to address the growing demand for AI capabilities in physical devices, including the burgeoning field of humanoid robotics. The company's solutions are positioned as an alternative to high-power GPUs for certain applications, offering a more power-efficient and cost-effective option for on-device AI processing.

This latest funding brings SiMa.ai's total capital raised to over $500 million. The company was previously valued at $960 million after a $85 million Series B round in July 2025. The new capital will support SiMa.ai's continued product development and market expansion in the edge computing sector.
