SIMCo Expands Infrastructure Debt Operations Through New Partnerships

Sequoia Investment Management Company Limited (SIMCo) has formed strategic partnerships with PIMCO and Investec to significantly expand its capacity to originate and execute infrastructure debt transactions across OECD markets.

14 October 2026

Sequoia Investment Management Company Limited (SIMCo), a global private credit manager focused on infrastructure, has announced two strategic partnerships with PIMCO and Investec. These agreements are set to substantially increase SIMCo's capability to originate and execute infrastructure debt transactions at scale within OECD markets.

The partnership with PIMCO establishes a multi-billion dollar origination platform focused on senior investment-grade infrastructure debt opportunities. This initiative will finance essential infrastructure assets and projects, including those in energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation, and social infrastructure, with a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar investment program expected.

A separate agreement with Investec Bank plc will support financing mandates across the UK and European energy and infrastructure sectors. The collaboration aims to jointly underwrite and arrange financing transactions, providing institutional investors access to the infrastructure debt asset class and sponsors with deeper pools of capital.

These partnerships build upon SIMCo's established track record in managing infrastructure debt strategies. For instance, the FTSE 250-listed infrastructure debt fund SEQI, managed by SIMCo since 2015, reported an 8.4% Net Asset Value (NAV) total return for its 2026 financial year. The fund also originated £422.1 million in new loans during the period.
