SIMEDHealth Joins Innovo Research Network in North Florida
SIMEDHealth has joined the Innovo Research Network, expanding access to community-based clinical trials in North Central Florida. This partnership aims to increase patient participation in local research.

Gainesville, Fla. – Multispecialty group SIMEDHealth has joined the Innovo Research Network, extending the reach of community-based clinical trials across North Central Florida. The partnership offers patients greater opportunities to participate in clinical studies close to home, alongside their established physicians.
SIMEDHealth contributes six clinical campuses, over 90 providers, and a track record of more than 150 completed clinical trials to the network. Founded in 1987, the group offers services across specialties including primary care, neurology, pulmonology, and rheumatology. As an Innovo partner, SIMEDHealth will receive centralized support for study start-up, contracting, patient recruitment, and quality assurance.
The collaboration provides pharmaceutical sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) with access to SIMEDHealth's physician and patient network through a single contract. This streamlines the process for patients to explore trial participation as part of their routine care and contributes to the development of new treatments.
Innovo Research CEO Jeff James highlighted SIMEDHealth as an ideal partner for their model, being physician-led, multispecialty, and community-rooted. SIMEDHealth CEO Daniel Duncanson stated that joining the network provides their research program with the necessary scale and infrastructure to offer more trials to their patients across additional specialties and locations.
