Simply Injectables RI Hires Nurse Practitioner for Aesthetics and GLP-1 Program
Simply Injectables RI has appointed nurse practitioner Susan McKenna as an aesthetic injector and lead for its GLP-1 weight management program. McKenna brings 13 years of experience in intensive care and hospital medicine.

Simply Injectables RI, an aesthetic clinic in Providence, Rhode Island, has named Susan McKenna, MSN, AGACNP-BC, as an aesthetic injector and the lead provider for its GLP-1 weight management program. McKenna, who is board-certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, also treats patients with neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and biostimulators.
McKenna's career spans 13 years in healthcare, primarily in intensive care and hospital medicine, before transitioning to aesthetic medicine in 2019. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Rhode Island College and previously worked as an ICU nurse and hospitalist.
In her role overseeing the GLP-1 program, McKenna manages each patient's treatment plan, including lab review, medication selection, dose adjustments, and follow-up appointments. The program pairs medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide with guidance on nutrition, exercise, and daily habits.
"The ICU teaches you that small details matter, and that's how I approach weight loss medications," McKenna stated. "I look at labs first, I see patients often, and I adjust doses based on how each person is doing, not on a chart."
Richard Kratzenberg, PA-C, founder of Simply Injectables RI, highlighted McKenna's background in hospital patient management as crucial for the program. Medical Director Brendan J. Carolan, MD, is available for consultation.
