Singapore AI Startup Sparkonomy Launches Creator Control Platform
Singapore-based AI startup Sparkonomy has launched Open Creator Graph, a free platform enabling creators to manage how AI systems can use their identity and work.
Singaporean AI infrastructure startup Sparkonomy launched the Open Creator Graph on September 29. The free platform allows creators to verify their identities and set terms for how AI systems may utilize their names, images, voices, likenesses, and work.
Creators can claim a record by signing in with accounts from platforms like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, or X. They can then specify whether AI use is permitted, conditional, or prohibited. This empowers creators to exert more control over their digital assets and personal brand.
Sparkonomy cited its AI Misrepresentation Study (AMISS), which analyzed 10,000 creators. The study found significant inaccuracies, with only one creator being accurately described by all five AI engines tested, while 67% were not accurately described by any.
The launch addresses growing concerns regarding AI's use of personal likeness and voice. Legislation is progressing in various regions, such as the US, to redefine these rights, while existing laws related to publicity, copyright, and contract are being considered for use against unauthorized AI applications.
