Singapore General Hospital Offers Lecture on PTSD for Healthcare Professionals

Singapore General Hospital (SGH) hosted a complimentary webinar on May 25, 2022, to educate healthcare professionals on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The event was part of the hospital's ongoing series aimed at increasing understanding of mental health conditions.

The lecture, organized by the Postgraduate Allied Health Institute (PGAHI), focused on defining trauma, differentiating between Acute Stress Disorder and PTSD, and providing a brief overview of treatment options available for PTSD. The intended audience included allied health professionals, doctors, and nurses.

Registration for the webinar closed on April 25, 2022, with participants required to sign up via an online form. SGH also reminded the public that it never asks for money transfers over the phone and advised contacting ScamShield if uncertain about suspicious calls.

The session was conducted virtually via Zoom. SGH promotes its Health Buddy app as a tool for patients to manage appointments and medication refills, further supporting patient care and accessibility.
