Singapore Judiciary Strengthens Judicial Cooperation within ASEAN

Singapore's judiciary has strengthened its judicial and legal cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) during meetings held in Bangkok last week. The delegation was led by Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon.

The events included the 15th ASEAN Law Association (ALA) General Assembly, the 47th ALA Governing Council Meeting, and the 13th Council of ASEAN Chief Justices (CACJ) Meeting. These gatherings provided a platform for discussing the development of legal systems and deepening collaboration among member states.

Key topics addressed during the sessions included cross-border crime, digital justice, and commercial disputes. The objective was to foster more harmonized practices and improve legal efficiency throughout the ASEAN region.
