Sinofn Supports Children with Phenylketonuria
Sinofn (Tianjin) Pharm-Tech Co., Ltd. launched the 'PKU Health Care Activities' initiative in 2017, providing resources and support for children with phenylketonuria (PKU) and their families.

Sinofn (Tianjin) Pharm-Tech Co., Ltd. is continuing its "PKU Health Care Activities" initiative, which was launched in 2017. This program is dedicated to assisting children with phenylketonuria (PKU), a genetic metabolic disorder affecting phenylalanine metabolism.
The initiative offers comprehensive resources for the PKU community. These include guidance on diet principles and monitoring, recipes and food lists featuring low-phenylalanine options, and practical meal planning ideas. Educational materials, such as checklists and trackers, along with information on support organizations, are also provided.
Monthly, Sinofn hosts gatherings at its headquarters, inviting children with PKU and their families. These events often feature cakes baked using specially formulated low-protein flour. The program also focuses on community support and raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by individuals with PKU.
Sinofn's founder established a Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) line for PKU food after witnessing a news report about a child with PKU in 2012. The company now offers a range of products designed to support the restricted diet of PKU patients, including specialized flours, rice, and powders.
