Concrete batching plants produce various waste streams, including returned concrete, wash water, and fine slurry. Without proper treatment, these can accumulate in collection pits and tanks, compromising recycled water quality and increasing labor for cleaning. Sinou's filter press aims to address these challenges.
The filter press operates by pumping slurry into enclosed chambers formed by filter plates. Liquid passes through the filter cloth as filtrate, while solids like cement fines and sand are retained to form a filter cake. The system automatically discharges the cake and cleans the filter cloths after each cycle.
Outputs from the process include clarified water, which can be reused for production or washing, and dewatered filter cake, which is easier to handle and dispose of. The equipment also helps reduce sediment buildup in pits and pipelines.
