Sirui expands lens lineup with two full-frame autofocus primes
Sirui has introduced the AF40mm F2.2 and AF20mm F2.4 lenses for Sony E and L-mount cameras, targeting the budget-friendly segment of the photography market.
Chinese optics manufacturer Sirui has launched two new full-frame autofocus lenses, the AF40mm F2.2 and AF20mm F2.4. Both models are compatible with Sony E and L-mount camera systems, reflecting the company’s push into the mirrorless accessory market.
The 40mm F2.2 lens features an optical structure of 11 elements in 8 groups, weighs 210 grams, and utilizes a stepping motor (STM) for autofocus with a minimum focus distance of 0.4 meters. The 20mm F2.4 variant, also weighing 209 grams, uses a 9-group, 11-element construction and offers a closer minimum focusing distance of 0.2 meters.
Both lenses incorporate 58mm filter threads and nine-blade apertures. By releasing these compact primes at a competitive price point, Sirui aims to capture market share from entry-level and travel photographers who prioritize weight and portability.
