Six titles within Capcom's Resident Evil franchise each sold over 3 million copies in the past year, between mid-2025 and mid-2026, according to a report by Game File. This significant sales milestone highlights the series' sustained popularity and commercial success.

The games that achieved this sales figure include Resident Evil: Requiem, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Resident Evil 8: Village. The Resident Evil series is known for its consistent quality and its prominent position within the survival horror genre.

Resident Evil: Requiem was a standout performer, reportedly selling over 8.5 million copies and achieving the fastest sales rate within the series during the specified period. The continued strong sales of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard were also noted as instrumental in revitalizing the series' appeal after previous installments.

Resident Evil 4 Remake has been widely recognized as one of the series' best entries, building on the success of earlier remakes. Capcom is continuing its remake strategy, with plans to release Resident Evil Veronica Remake next year.
