Construction firm Skanska has signed an additional contract with UNC Health worth USD 68 million (approximately SEK 630 million) for the construction of a new medical office building and parking deck in North Carolina, USA. This project marks the beginning of a new greenfield medical campus.
The contract scope includes site development, infrastructure, and the core and shell construction for a six-floor, approximately 17,700 square meter (191,000 SF) medical office building. It also covers an adjacent 890-space parking deck.
This additional contract will be included in Skanska's US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026. The project is part of a larger initiative by UNC Health to establish a new healthcare campus in the region, with Skanska responsible for the foundational construction phases.
Skanska had previously been awarded initial contracts for the project. The company has not released further details regarding the overall project timeline or other subcontractors involved.
