Skanska has secured an additional contract with Lee Health for the construction of a new hospital and medical office building in Fort Myers, Florida. The value of this supplementary agreement is USD 60 million, approximately SEK 560 million.
The expanded scope of work includes interior build-out finishes and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the West Bed Tower expansion. The overall project encompasses a five-story hospital covering approximately 38,600 square meters (416,000 square feet), a central energy plant, and an 11,600 square meter (125,000 square foot) medical office building featuring an ambulatory surgery center.
Construction commenced in June 2024, with completion slated for May 2028. Skanska will incorporate the new contract into its US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.
