Skanska to build data center in Georgia, USA, for USD 84 million

Skanska has secured a contract with a repeat client to construct a data center in Georgia, USA. The contract is valued at USD 84 million, which is approximately SEK 780 million. This project is expected to be included in Skanska's US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026.

The project entails the construction of a data center facility covering approximately 22,700 square meters. It will feature five colocation data halls and administrative space, designed for a capacity of 48 MW. The scope of work encompasses all civil, structural, utilities, electrical, mechanical, security, and interior fit-out, as well as commissioning of major equipment.

This development comes as the demand for data center capacity continues to grow globally, driven by increasing data consumption and cloud computing. Skanska's involvement in such infrastructure projects highlights its role in supporting the digital economy and its continued activity in the US construction market.
