Skanska to Build University Campus in Kristianstad for approximately SEK 1 Billion
Skanska has been commissioned by Boulevardfastigheter AB to construct a new city campus for Kristianstad University in Sweden. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 1 billion.

Skanska will build a new 25,000 square meter city campus for Kristianstad University in Sweden under a contract with Boulevardfastigheter AB, valued at approximately SEK 1 billion. The project is set to accommodate around 13,000 students and 550 staff members.
The new campus, situated in the city center, is designed to support modern education and research principles. Construction is scheduled to commence in early August 2026, with completion anticipated by June 2029. The development is expected to enhance the area's appeal by creating jobs and increasing urban activity.
A significant aspect of the project involves the recycling of dismantled materials from the adjacent Galleria Boulevard shopping center. Approximately 10,000 square meters of concrete floor slabs are being resold for use in other construction projects, marking one of Sweden's largest concrete reuse initiatives. Other recycled materials include facade panels, glass partitions, and installation components.
The construction includes both above-ground facilities and technical areas. The project also adheres to a unique local climate agreement established between Kristianstad Municipality, Kristianstad University, Skanska, and Boulevardfastigheter AB.
