Skullcandy Audio Headphones Combine Custom Bass Technology with Bose Features
Skullcandy has launched the Crusher 1080 ANC headphones, integrating its patented bass enhancement technology with audio technology from Bose. The product is priced at $279.99.

Skullcandy announced on July 15, 2026, the release of its Crusher 1080 ANC headphones, representing the brand's most advanced audio device to date. The new model merges Skullcandy's patented Crusher bass technology with premium sound technologies developed by Bose.
Historically, Skullcandy's Crusher headphones have aimed to provide a physical bass experience through dedicated drivers, creating a subwoofer-like effect. The Crusher 1080 ANC enhances this by incorporating a new driver design that improves audio clarity and separation while deepening bass response. Features from Bose, including active noise cancellation and spatial audio, have been integrated to complement this experience.
"Our goal was to create the world's greatest headphone by integrating these two powerful technologies," stated Skullcandy CEO Brian Garofalow. "We are delivering an incredible audio experience with exceptional bass response at an unbeatable value."
Bose indicates the collaboration allows their research and development to reach a wider consumer base. The Crusher 1080 ANC is equipped with Bose QuietControl for adaptive noise cancellation, Bose TrueSpatial for spatial audio with head tracking, and the Bose WaveForm Audio Engine for balanced sound reproduction. The headphones will be available in four colorways with a suggested retail price of $279.99.
