The total value of the deal, including debt, stands at $111 billion, positioning it as one of the largest mergers in the sector.
The combined entity now holds a substantial portfolio of film and television titles. This includes major franchises such as DC Comics' superhero universe (e.g., "Batman," "Superman"), the "Harry Potter" and "Fantastic Beasts" series, "Star Trek," "Game of Thrones," "Mission: Impossible," and "Transformers." The library also encompasses classic films like "The Godfather" trilogy, "Casablanca," and "The Wizard of Oz."
The merged company now owns prominent film studios, including Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, and New Line Cinema. It also operates major streaming services such as HBO Max, Paramount+, and Discovery+. News operations within the new structure include CNN and CBS News.
Furthermore, Skydance's portfolio now includes a wide array of television networks, such as HBO, Showtime, CNN, Discovery Channel, HGTV, MTV, and Nickelodeon. Sports broadcasting rights (CBS Sports, TNT Sports) and video game divisions (Warner Bros. Games) are also part of the consolidated business.
