Skydio Drone Solutions Added to U.S. Federal Cleared List

Skydio, a U.S.-based drone manufacturer, announced that its X10, Dock for X10, and R10 drone solutions have been added to the U.S. federal government's Blue UAS Cleared List. These systems join the Skydio X10D, which received the same clearance in 2024.

The Blue UAS Cleared List confirms that drone platforms meet federal requirements for cybersecurity, supply chain integrity, and compliance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). This clearance is important for public safety agencies and other government entities that utilize federal grant programs for technology acquisitions.

Skydio states that the X10 model offers advanced visual and thermal sensing with AI-powered autonomy for demanding outdoor missions. The Dock for X10 enables remote operations and autonomous return-to-dock capabilities, supporting "Drone as First Responder" programs. The R10 is designed for indoor and complex, GPS-denied environments, aiding in data collection from hazardous locations.

Alden Jones, Vice President of Product at Skydio, highlighted the significance of the expanded clearance for federal and defense customers. "This certification gives defense and federal teams access to the first and only Blue UAS-cleared DFR solution to respond faster and maintain awareness at scale," Jones said.

The inclusion on the Blue UAS Cleared List signifies that these Skydio systems are cleared for procurement and operation by federal agencies without requiring additional waivers or approvals, facilitating their deployment in critical applications.
