Slack Introduces AI-Powered Interactive Content Creation within Chats
Slack is rolling out a new feature called Slackforce Surfaces, enabling users to create interactive charts, reports, and dashboards directly within chat conversations using AI.

Slack has announced Slackforce Surfaces, a new capability designed to generate interactive content, such as reports, polls, and dashboards, directly within its chat platform. The feature leverages AI to interpret user requests and compile information from conversations and connected applications like Google Drive and Salesforce.
Users can prompt Slackbot with a description of the desired content. The AI then processes this request, retrieves relevant data, and constructs the interactive "Surface." This could range from a simple poll to a complex data visualization or even a microsite.
Once created, these Surfaces can be shared with colleagues and pinned to specific channels. This allows other users to view, interact with, and comment on the content, facilitating collaboration and information sharing directly in the workflow. An example provided shows a user requesting a visualization of AI token usage.
The introduction of Slackforce Surfaces aims to streamline content creation and data accessibility for teams, allowing for more dynamic information exchange without leaving the Slack application.
