Slack launches AI-assisted coding channels
Slack introduces new dedicated channels for coding, enabling teams to collaborate with AI agents directly on the platform.

Slack has launched new, specialized channels for coding, allowing teams to collaborate with AI agents without needing to switch between different tools.
The Slack Code feature includes open, project-specific coding channels with dedicated user tabs. It also offers functionalities for comparing code changes and previewing HTML output before projects are shipped.
According to Slack, users can invite coding agents, such as Anthropic's Claude or Cognition's Devin, to perform tasks. The agent then spins up a dedicated code channel to handle the specific task.
The new feature aims to streamline the development process and enhance team communication on coding projects.
