Slimbook Launches Nexus AI Workstations with AMD Processors
Spanish Linux hardware maker Slimbook has announced its new Nexus series of AI workstations, offering configurations with AMD Ryzen and Threadripper PRO processors. The machines are designed for AI development and professional tasks.
Slimbook, a Spanish manufacturer of Linux-compatible hardware, has unveiled its new Nexus series of AI workstations. The line includes models aimed at AI development and demanding professional applications, available with AMD Ryzen and Threadripper PRO processors.
The Nexus Ryzen AI variant can be configured with up to an AMD Ryzen 9 processor, 128GB of DDR5 memory, and 4TB of PCIe Gen5 NVMe storage. Some configurations support dual NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs. Slimbook positions this model as a balanced option for users entering professional local AI development, with a starting price of 1995 euros.
For more intensive workloads, such as training large language models (LLMs) or complex professional computations, the Nexus Threadripper AI is offered. This version can be equipped with up to an AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX processor, up to 512GB of DDR5 memory, and dual NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell graphics cards. It features a high-capacity 2500W Platinum power supply and starts at 3880 euros.
Both Nexus AI workstations feature aluminum chassis and offer users choices between air cooling and integrated all-in-one liquid cooling systems with triple fans. Customers can customize the configurations based on their specific requirements.
