Slutty Vegan Names First Operating Franchisee
Plant-based burger chain Slutty Vegan has named Destiny Correa as its first operating franchisee. Correa takes ownership of the Brooklyn location after managing it for five years.
World-famous plant-based burger brand Slutty Vegan has named Destiny Correa as its first operating franchisee. The move officially converts the brand's Fulton Street location in Brooklyn, New York, into its first franchised restaurant.
Correa served as General Manager of the Fulton Street location for nearly five years, helping to build it into one of Slutty Vegan's flagship restaurants. Founder Pinky Cole Hayes gifted her ownership of the restaurant and waived the initial and ongoing franchise fees typically required, recognizing her years of commitment to the brand.
"I walked into this store five years ago as a manager, and now I'm walking back in as the owner," Correa stated. "Pinky told me ownership was possible for me, and then she helped make it a reality."
Since launching in Atlanta in 2018, Slutty Vegan has grown from a viral concept into a nationally recognized brand. The company has announced several other franchise agreements in various markets as it continues its national expansion.
