Smart Charging Technologies Launches Program to Uncover Fleet Capital

Orlando, Florida – Smart Charging Technologies (SCT), an independent provider of motive power fleet intelligence, has launched the Motive Power SCORE Program. This new managed service offers fleet operators independent data before they commit to their next battery, charger, or truck acquisition, including the growing trend of lithium-ion conversions.

The program was developed in response to a consistent finding across SCT's fleet data: substantial capital often remains unused due to oversized batteries and underutilized chargers and forklift equipment. SCT states that understanding the total cost of ownership for a mixed fleet has become increasingly difficult, and the SCORE program is designed as a managed service to avoid adding a new, complex system for fleet operators to maintain.

The program begins with a free equipment audit, followed by the installation of monitoring devices and continuous analysis by a dedicated SCT Fleet Analyst. Two previous deployments have already identified over $1.6 million in stranded capital by uncovering overcapacity and underutilization. The program is now available to fleet operators across the United States and Canada.
