Smart Pet Feeder Users Report Outage Issues
Petlibro acknowledged an extensive outage affecting its smart pet feeders, preventing app control and leaving some pets unfed.

Smart pet feeder manufacturer Petlibro has experienced a widespread outage that left many customers unable to control their devices via the companion app. Some users reported their pets were left unfed during the disruption.
The company, owned by Shenzhen, China-based Shenzhen Libro Technology Co., first acknowledged the issue early Tuesday Pacific Time. The outage was reportedly resolved by Wednesday evening. However, some users continued to report problems on social media as late as Thursday.
Petlibro founder and CEO York Wu apologized for the situation in a blog post. Wu confirmed that issues with the company's cloud server caused the outage, acknowledging the frustration and concern experienced by users.
This incident highlights the reliance of smart home devices on internet connectivity and cloud services. While the technology offers convenience, it can also lead to significant disruptions when services fail.
