Smart to Launch New Electric Vehicle in China Early November

Electric vehicle manufacturer Smart has announced that the new "精灵#2" (Spirit #2) Premium version will officially launch in China in early November. The new model boasts a driving range of 410 kilometers on a single charge, with its DC fast charging capability reaching 80% from 10% in just 20 minutes.

The vehicle continues Smart's distinctive design language, featuring a classic two-seater configuration and short overhangs. Exterior highlights include LED headlights and taillights, along with 16-inch wheels. The interior is characterized by a water-inspired design and a 12.8-inch central infotainment screen.

Smart's "精灵#2" "鎏金高定版" (Gilded High Custom Edition) was previously launched in China on October 12, with a limited production run of 999 units. This edition had a retail price of 112,999 yuan.

For reference, the previously released model measures 2751 (2764) x 1669 x 1555mm with a wheelbase of 1875mm. Its top speed is 140 km/h and it is equipped with a 35.8kWh battery. The CLTC range is 410 km, and a 30-80% fast charge takes under 15 minutes. The vehicle features a highly integrated electric drive system with high power density.
